Data Deletion Instructions

Apparition is operated by Phasmotic LLC. This page explains how to request deletion of the data Apparition has stored about you, including data we have gathered from your connected Instagram, Facebook, or Threads accounts through Meta’s OAuth flow.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account or request a data deletion, we remove:
- Your account profile (name, email, login credentials).
- OAuth tokens and connection metadata for all connected social accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and any other channel you connected).
- Brand profiles, brand voice guidelines, characters, and product catalog data.
- Posts, drafts, scheduled content, generated assets (images, video, captions), and analytics records associated with your account.
- Uploaded media stored on our behalf.
Billing records that we are required to retain for legal, accounting, or tax reasons may be kept for the period required by law. Backups are purged on our normal backup-rotation schedule.
Option 1 — Self-serve deletion
The fastest way to delete your data is to do it yourself from inside Apparition:
- Sign in to apparition.phasmotic.ai.
- Open Settings → Channels and disconnect every connected Instagram, Facebook, and Threads account. Disconnecting revokes the OAuth tokens we hold for that account.
- Open Settings and choose Delete account. Confirm the deletion.
Self-serve deletions are processed immediately, with full data purging completed within 30 days.
Option 2 — Email request
If you cannot sign in or would prefer that we handle the deletion for you, send an email to phasmotic@gmail.com with:
- Subject line: Data Deletion Request
- The email address tied to your Apparition account.
- (Optional) The Instagram, Facebook, or Threads handles you have connected, so we can confirm we’ve removed the right connection records.
We will verify the request comes from you (typically by replying from the address on file), then complete the deletion and confirm by email. Email-initiated deletions are completed within 30 days of verification.
Revoking access on Meta’s side
Disconnecting a channel inside Apparition revokes our access on our side. You can also remove Apparition’s access on Meta’s side at any time under Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations or the equivalent control on Instagram or Threads.
